You must have the ability to control your own behaviors, be responsible, and take care of your business in an effective and timely manner, if you truly wish to succeed.
Self discipline is an important factor when considering whether or not you should start your own business.Becoming your own boss requires self discipline to control how your business is operated, how much income you need to make, control personal behaviors so you can be most responsible. Ways to Exert Self-discipline in Your Business

  • Be aware of the odds stacked against small business owners and make an individual plan to overcome each one in the event that one should arise.
  • Determine your short-term and long-term goals for your business-what do you hope to accomplish in 5 years? 10 years?
  • Focus on your strengths-write them down and list where each of your strengths can do the most good.
  • Write down your weaknesses and for each one then brainstorm or Google it) at least three idea's of how you think your weakness can be overcome
  • Get organized-Make a tentative schedule for yourself of what you need to do to start your own business and decide if you are up to the challenge
